Radio adverts raise awareness of electrical safety

Next time you’re listening to your local Canterbury radio station in the morning, chances are you’ll hear an important public safety message - keep safe around power lines, brought to you by Orion.

Orion has begun a radio advertising campaign to build public awareness of keepig safe around power lines.

As summer approaches, it's time for property owners to think about pruning their trees; farmers to get ready for irrigating their paddocks; and children to get outside and play in and around trees.  However, at this time of year it's important to remind people of the hazards and risks of working and playing near power lines and other electricity network assets.

Four radio adverts are now being aired across Canterbury stations to remind the public of the dangers. Listen to them below:
