We aim to promote safe, efficient and environmentally aware use of electricity in our community.
What we do
We follow a policy of environmental sustainability, initiate energy efficiency programmes, work to minimise electrical losses on our network wherever possible, monitor concerns regarding health and electrical fields and run community education courses, teaching children to stay safe around electricity.
We were also the first electricity network operator in New Zealand, and possibly the world, to undertake a full carbon footprint assessment of our activities.
