Close approach consents

If you want to work near our overhead power lines, you must first apply in writing to our Release Co-ordinator. He will issue you with a permit which will set out minimum approach distances and any other safety measures.

The minimum safe approach distance for any mechanical plant or scaffolding is four metres. We may permit a lesser distance if we are satisfied that safety will not be compromised.
