Jono Brent INTERIM ORION GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE Jono was appointed Interim Orion Group chief executive in September, while the board undertakes a search for a replacement Group Chief Executive following Rob Jamieson stepping down from the role. He is responsible for the Orion Group, encompassing both Orion Network and Connetics, and will be driving the implementation of Orion's Group Strategy and Purpose - to power a cleaner and brighter future. He was previously Group Transformation Lead and before that, Connetics’ CEO.
David Freeman-Greene  INTERIM ORION NETWORK CHIEF EXECUTIVE David is responsible for running Orion’s core network business of operating a safe, reliable and sustainable electricity network. He’s the GO TO person for any matters related to Orion’s day to day operations. He was previously GM Commercial. David has a broad legal, commercial and regulatory background with more than 13 years in the telecommunications sector and, prior to that, was in private practice as a lawyer.
Paul Deavoll GM CUSTOMER & STAKEHOLDER Paul leads the Customer and Stakeholder team and is responsible for Orion’s external relationships including communications, stakeholder and customer relationships, and sustainability. With almost 20 years’ experience within the telecommunications sector, Paul has a sound appreciation for the difference infrastructure and technology can make for businesses and communities. Paul has a strong engagement with his local community. He is a Trustee of the Christchurch Foundation and President of Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce.
Vaughan Hartland  ORION GROUP IMPLEMENTATION LEAD Vaughan leads the implementation of the Orion Group’s strategy. He is a chartered accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Vaughan joined Orion in 2017 and was Chief Financial Officer until September 2020.
Craig Kerr GM INFORMATION SOLUTIONS Craig manages the information solutions function within Orion, which delivers information solutions infrastructure and provides and enhances information systems to support Orion's business processes. Craig has over 20 years' experience in the information technology sector, mostly within the electricity industry.
Steve Macdonald GM INFRASTRUCTURE Steve leads Orion's infrastructure team, which manages the safe construction, maintenance, engineering and operation of Orion's network. He has more than 20 years’ experience in different roles within the business, including our subsidiary company, Connetics. Steve is a current member of the Victorian Powerline Bushfire Safety Committee.
Andy Miller GM QHSE Andy leads the Orion quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) team, which provides QHSE governance, advice, support and expertise to the business, our customers and other stakeholders. Andy has a broad engineering and maintenance background along with over 15 years' quality, health, safety and environmental experience primarily gained in the aviation industry.
Dayle Parris INTERIM GM COMMERCIAL Dayle leads the commercial team and is responsible for Orion’s regulatory relationships including with the Commerce Commission, Electricity Authority and with electricity retailers. This includes collecting our revenue from retailers, engaging and contributing to regulatory processes and compliance reporting, setting our pricing and assisting the business with commercial aspects of projects and business cases. Dayle has more than 23 years’ broad experience in the electricity distribution sector.
Sue Teague EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT Sue leads the administration team and provides support to our leadership team and the Orion Group board.
Karen Wiese STRATEGIC PROGRAMME LEAD Karen leads Orion’s enterprise risk management and insurance programmes as well as co-ordinating implementation of the Orion Group strategy. Karen has more than 20 years’ experience in the electricity industry in finance and governance and risk.
Graeme Wilson INTERIM CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Graeme leads Orion’s finance function. He is a chartered accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Graeme has been with Orion and its predecessors for more than 35 years in senior accounting roles.
Nikki Woosnam GM PEOPLE & CAPABILITY Nikki leads the people and capability team, which provides support and advice to the business on everything people related.  Nikki joined Orion in 2010 and is focussed on helping others to reach their full potential.
