Updates to Orion online services

We're in the process of making further updates to the Orion online services portal (online.oriongroup.co.nz).  having already made updates to the consent application processes (close approach, high load and standover consents) and outage notifications.

Our next step is to release updates to the Connections processes in online services.

Outage of Orion online services portal

To make the necessary updates to Orion online services portal we need to have a planned outage.

This means that the Orion online services portal will be unavailable as we maintain and upgrade systems.  Services will be unavailable between:

  • 3.30pm - Friday 22 September to 2pm - Monday 25 September

Please plan your applications and access to the system around these outage timeframes.

About Connections updates

We’re making updates to the Orion online services portal as we have implemented a new system to streamline the work process for connection requests.

It’s possible that when you use the portal for the first time after this update you may be asked to update some details in the My details section. This should be straight forward, and then you can complete your application as usual.

If you experience any issues please log out and then back in.

Payments

From 25 September 2023, if you are applying for Generation under 15kW (solar, wind, battery, diesel or hybrid generation) you will now be required to make a non-refundable payment with your application.

You can pay by internet banking or pay with Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card.

Cost details will be available here, we have also made updates to our Orion website Terms of Use to cover online payments through the website.
