New spatial tools now live: Hosting Capacity Viewer and Flexibility Opportunities Viewer
Our purpose is to power a cleaner, brighter future with our community, and we’ve recently launched two spatial tools to support our customers to do the same. Our Hosting Capacity Viewer and Flexibility Opportunities Viewer are designed to improve how customers engage with our network and support more informed choices about how it is used.
Our Hosting Capacity Viewer shows how much new generation or demand the network may be able to support, helping customers make informed decisions about where to connect their projects. By visualising capacity on a map, it quickly highlights where connections are most feasible and where upgrades may be required.
We’ve also launched our Flexibility Opportunities Viewer, which highlights where flexibility services could help defer or reduce network investment. Flexibility is all about adjusting when and how power is used or stored to smooth peaks and make better use of existing network capacity.
By signalling potential opportunities early, we aim to support the growth of the flexibility market and give service providers time to explore solutions and prepare for future engagement.
