Orion has invested $1.5 million to upgrade the electricity network for the Springston community and wider area.

The community is growing, and so we are installing new equipment into our Springston substation to create a more resilient and reliable power supply for all of our customers. This will reduce the chance of power outages and help us get the power back on more quickly if they do occur.

Communities across Springston, Rolleston, Leeston, Lincoln and as far as Banks Peninsula, will benefit from this upgrade. 

This upgrade was completed in early 2019.
